Bags for organic waste

Sumus bags for organic waste are resistant to liquids, holes and rips and they all are entirely compostable. Glues and inks used in their production are all water-based and completely biodegradable.
They are all certified by FSC™, “Compostabile CIC”, HPB, Blauer Engel.

The bags for the collection of domestic organic waste include also several patented solutions, making them safe and efficient products:

– The internal intermediate bag bottom: it maintains the bottom of the bag flat, it increases the absorbent capacity, the efficiency of the transpiration and evaporation processes and the resistance to liquids and rips.
– The sealing of the bag bottom: three layers of paper and three glueing levels. This characteristic guarantees resistance to rips and a higher capacity to absorb humidity.
– Foldable flaps at the top side: maintain the bag always open and adhere to the perforated bins.
The available sizes go from 7 to 360 liters.

Bags for garden waste

The 80 liters Sumus bags are specifically created for the collection of garden waste. Ergonomically projected to facilitate the work of the operators and users, they are entirely compostable according to legal standards. The special construction of the bag with the triple weld joint and the special crossed bag bottom make them resistant to rips and holes (Certification HPB: High Performance Bag). The practical open mouth makes the filling and handling easier.

Bags for paper

The bags produced by Sumus are the ideal solution for the differentiated collection and disposal of paper. The large printing surface of the bag gives the chance to create specific personalized messages for each service provider, sharing information and useful instructions for correct recycling of paper.
In the waste disposal plant the Sumus® bags are located in the A-category, based on the agreement Conai-Comieco.
Sumus bags increase the quality of the collected paper, because they reduce foreign particles in the recycling chain (like plastic particles from other bags or other material). They avoid the need of bag spitters and the operations for the manual separation, because the bag (made of paper) and its contents can be directly disposed without any separation.
They also contribute to an increase of the weight and quality of the collected paper and this makes the bags “self-financed”, because their systematic use can move the entire fraction in the A-category, increasing the contribution to the environment of the municipality.
They all have the certifications FSC™, HPB, Blauer Engel.

    Bags for the mixed waste

    The newly concepted bag is made of 100% recycled paper certified with FSC™. It has a squared bag bottom and handles for a comfortable closure and transportation.

    They can be emptied and refilled several times. At the end of their usage, they can be disposed as paper, avoiding constant pollution of the environment with new plastic.

  • Special Bags

    Bags for the collection of cigarette butts

    Sumus invites everyone not to smoke.
    For the ones who still smoke, it has developed a practical small bag made of 100% recycled paper with FSC™ certification. The bag comes with a thin film made of aluminium that can be used as an ashtray to extinguish the cigarette.

    No more excuses! Whether a smoker is in the city or on the beach, he/she will always be able to throw away the cigarette butt correctly!

    The content of the bag must be disposed in the mixed waste, while the small bag can be used again or disposed in the paper waste.
    If thrown away with its content, it must be disposed as part of the mixed waste.

Bio-fabric for active mulching

Sumus has developed a bio-fabric for the active mulching of lands for farmers, which is made of certified and compostable recycled paper in compliance with UNI EN 13432. The fabric is treated with natural and partially water-repellent substances, which are active against fungus and mold.
Thanks to a lower presence of infesting species and the protection of the land from thermal excursions, it guarantees a more safe and productive farming cycle.
The breathable characteristics of the paper reduce the rot in the contact areas with the soil, increasing the economical output.
The bio-fabric is compatible with biologic agriculture and can be milled in the soil (without being removed and disposed), reducing time, efforts and avoiding plastic pollution in the environment.

Sumus has also developed a Cartonbox®, a container made of three parts (frame, cover and bottom) with a squared base. It is made of 100% recycled cartons.
The Cartonbox® is usable (in combination with the Sumus bags from 60 to 70 liters) for the collection of paper and/or organic waste, for the mixed waste or for toners and ink-cartridges.
Its capacity is 90 liters and it is printable in 6 colors.
