Sumus® Italia S.r.l. is an Italian company dedicated to producing ecological and sustainable solutions for separate waste collection. Founded in 2013, it specializes in manufacturing bags for bio and paper waste collection, made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper. It offers innovative and sustainable solutions for waste separation by connecting the paper supply chain with the bio waste supply chain for the first time.

Sumus® Italia promotes:

• Circular economy: Our company is a great example of circular economy. It uses paper that has already completed its life cycle to produce new bags that can be composted or recycled, reducing waste and giving new life to separated fractions.
• Innovative products: The flagship product is the patented Sumus® compostable bag made of recycled paper for bio waste. Unlike bioplastic bags, the Sumus® bag absorbs moisture and allows bio waste to breathe, preventing the formation of liquids and bad odors.
• Materials and sustainability: Sumus® bags are liquid-resistant and are produced using water-based inks and adhesives. In addition to bio waste bags, our company has also developed other innovative solutions, such as bags for dog waste collection, pocket ashtrays, urban decor solutions, dispensers, and mulching sheets.
• Short and local supply chain: Production takes place entirely in Italy, in a packaging district in the Padua area. The company controls the entire production chain, from the paper mill to the bag manufacturing, ensuring a sustainable and localized process.
